Rettungs-Haus Programs

Therapy Dog Program
1/3

Rettungs-Haus has contributed over the years in bringing warmth and joy to residents of nursing homes.  Residents learn, in the company of dogs, to overcome loneliness and fear. They are delightfully entertained by the dog’s tricks and antics and warmed beyond words by their unconditional love and acceptance.

In nursing home settings, where care and treatment is crucially needed, Therapy Dog intervention is truly one of the most effective types of therapy achieved.  We are proud to continue this service to those in our community.

Amelia’s Story

1/2

Amelia’s Legacy was created in loving honor of our late Amelia, rescued in 2013. This is a program where our Senior or Terminal German Shepherds live the rest of their life, happy and loved, in one of our approved homes.

Mia’s Story

1/2

Mia brought attention to the severe effects of back yard breeding, puppy mills, puppy stores, and ultimately the people responsible for so many more puppies that we have yet to find and fight for. We couldn't save Mia... and I believe now perhaps we were not meant to.

Mia was sent here because we are the ones that will be her voice for those who can not speak for themselves. We can save many more like Mia and in doing so, expose the ugly truth.

We will call it Mia's Mission. We would love your support.  As for my Mia, I promise you, your death will not be in vain. I promise you with all that I am, I will be your voice; I will advocate for change.

They will forever remember your name.
