Training Testimonials

My 3-Year-old GSD, Izzy, and I have been involved with Rettungs-Haus Shepherds for about 3 months now. I can’t say I’ve met a better group of people than I have here at RH. The dedication and love shown by Rettungs-Haus toward their dogs and RH family is inspiring and contagious. Izzy and I go to every obedience and SAR training sessions available to us. We simply can’t get enough. I can’t wait to start fostering, training, and adopting the amazing dogs she rescues when no one else will.

Something I’ve taken from my experience with Rettungs-Haus training is that every owner and their dog have their own set of “issues”. They could have aggression, fear, separation anxiety, intense energy, or maybe even no issues at all. Antoinette takes you, your dog, and your issues just as you are and helps to solve those important to you. She teaches you how to be confident, clear, and consistent with your training. You and your dog come out with a relationship based on mutual respect, trust and understanding. I’m amazed with how much improvement I’ve seen not only with me and my own dog, but also the others in class.

My only regret is that I waited so long to get involved with Rettungs-Haus Shepherds.

We searched for years to find a dog trainer that could help us with our dog-aggressive dog. Unfortunately, every time we got in contact with someone, they would stop responding once they learned he was part pitbull, or would tell me aggression is usually unfixable.

Everyone at Rettungs-Haus has welcomed us with open arms since day one. Also, compared to other quotes we’ve received to work with dog aggression, they are extremely reasonably priced. After only 4 sessions, we’ve seen a drastic difference in our fur baby. I’m no longer fearful to walk him alone, and his confidence is higher than ever. He’s been within a foot of other dogs in group classes; something I never thought would be possible in the past.  We’re working toward a goal of adopting another dog, so while he’s got a long way to go, he’s already gotten to a point I never thought possible.

Thank you to the Rettungs-Haus family!

I have been training with Rettungs-Haus Shepherds for almost two years now.  The Rettungs-Haus team have been life-changing.  Louie was a huge challenge when he was young and I was often afraid to take him places as he was reactive to women, men, and children. I kept getting poor advice from other trainers which made things more stressful for both of us and caused Louie to continue acting out.

Rettungs-Haus taught me how to read his body language and this alone has made a huge difference in keeping him safe. She has also taught me how to read other dog's body language, which assists me in keeping him safe as well.  We recently adopted Annie from the Rettungs-Haus Shepherds program and while she has come with some fear aggression, I know Annie just needs time to heal. With the Rettungs-Haus team in my corner, there is not a doubt in my mind about her future.

I love going to RH. The progress of my dog has been amazing. He came in very fear aggressive and the Rettungs-Haus  Team has helped us both immensely. He is no longer lashing out at other dogs and I feel more confident and knowledgeable as an owner. We both continue to grow weekly with classes.

My almost one year old German Shepherd and I found Rettungs-Haus Antoinette this past summer. She was, I thought, a difficult puppy. The RG Team thought differently.  Now, after only six months of rehabilitation with her, I have a young dog that I love. She is doing so well with her obedience and her life, and I credit the Rettungs-Haus Team with her progress. A wonderful group of volunteers that truly love all the dogs that are trained.  I would go nowhere else with this, or any future dogs!
